John Daniels

Biography

John Daniels is a ten-year Navy veteran, having served as a Spanish linguist while leading a team of deploying personnel in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Daniels has diligently pursued immigrants’ rights since his time in the Navy. During the family separation policy, he volunteered with grassroots immigrants’ rights organizations assisting asylum seekers in detention and upon release in Central Texas and on the border with Mexico. After his enlistment, he attended Seton Hall School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, serving as a student attorney at the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic, with the Karnes Family Detention Center Pro Bono trip, and as vice president of the Immigration Law Society.

Before joining DeCosmo Law as an associate attorney, Mr. Daniels worked at Harlan York and Associates for two and a half years. From the start of his legal career, he has exclusively represented immigrants in all forms of immigration matters, including naturalization, adjustment of status, asylum, consular processing, and removal defense. He currently provides pro bono representation to Afghan asylum seekers through the American Immigration Council.

Mr. Daniels draws on a broad range of experiences and perspectives in order to formulate the best strategy for our clients’ needs. Together with our expert team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff, Mr. Daniels uses a wide array of knowledge and skills to guide clients through the various government processes that U.S. immigration law encompasses.
